"La un an de la aprobarea de catre Guvern a Ordonantei privind
plata taxelor
si impozitelor locale prin mijloace electronice, un numar

02.>>>>IT-ul romanesc - in crestere
.(Adevarul OnLine: 14/01/2003)
In anul care a trecut, IT-ul romanesc a dat semnale incurajatoare
de
crestere. In 2003, Romania a devenit cunoscuta pentru prima
oara ca
producatoare importanta de tehnologie digitala.

03.>>>>Cable and Internet Loom Large in Fragmented
Political News Universe
.(The Pew Research Center: 11/01/2004)
The 2004 presidential campaign is continuing the long-term
shift in how the
public gets its election news. Television news remains dominant,
but there
has been further erosion in the audience for broadcast TV
news. The
Internet, a relatively minor source for campaign news in 2000,
is now on par
with such traditional outlets as public television broadcasts,
Sunday
morning news programs and the weekly news magazines.

on the Right and

.(OJR: 07/01/2004)
MoveOn.org and others have learned how to get media coverage
and political
traction using the Internet, e-mail and word of mouth. And
the thwarting of
an attempt by the Forest Service to squelch e-mail campaigns
shows that
ideology is heating up the Web.

E-DEMOCRACY
05.>>>>Democratic Evolution or Virtual Civil War
.(Publicus.Net: January 2004)
After a decade working directly with e-democracy issues, I've
concluded that
"politics as usual" online may be the tipping point that finishes
off what
television started - the extinction of democracy and democratic
spirit.
Those hoping for an almost accidental democratic transformation
fostered by
the information technology will watch in shock from the sidelines
as their
favorite new medium becomes the arsenal of virtual civil war
- virtual civil
wars among partisans at all levels.

09.>>>>eGovernment via Digital TV: Policy framework is

Government
.(PublicTechnology.net: 12/12/2003)
Douglas Alexander MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office and
Chancellor of the
Duchy of Lancaster today published Digital Television - a
policy framework
for accessing eGovernment services. The framework encourages
departments to
evaluate the benefits of digital television (DTV) in delivering
public
services. Maximising the use of DTV is part of the Government's
drive to
offer services that are built and delivered around the needs
of the citizen.
